Bangladesh General Election (9th), 2008: Point based system to find better candidate

We all want good, honest and efficient leaders to be elected in the upcoming election. Voters will be provided eight information of each candidate. Point based system will help voters to understand easily who is better. It is only a proposal which can be changed and completed by rigorous discussion.

In UK, Aus, Canada there is point based system to find better immigrant for their country. Can we find a similar system to help our voters to find better election candidate?

For example, in the education category, let us provide for Under SSC 0 point, SSC 5 point, HSC 10 point, Hons 20 point, Masters 25 point, PhD 35 point.

For political career 2 points per year. For example if some one has 20 years political experience will get 40 points. 10 points will be subtracted for each party change that means if some one has changed political party for three times will get (minus) -30 points.

Same way points will be given (positive or negative) for other category of information provided by the election commission.

50 or 100 open points will be given to voters. They can give as much point as they want to each candidate for overall impression of the candidate.

This way a comparative study for all candidates for all 300 seats will be prepared for easy understanding of the voters.

One has proposed extra points for freedom fighters and profession.
